The 28^thAnnual Conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India(AMBICON) was held from 2^nd to 5^th December 2021 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) for the first time in a hybrid mode under the able leadership of Prof.(Dr)Eli Mohapatra. The theme of conference “Molecular Ingress in the Realm of Molecular Diagnostics” was apt for the current progress of Biochemistry. The preconference workshops were on modern techniques like indirect immunofluorescence, HPLC, cell culture, molecular diagnostics and flow cytometry.

The event was inaugurated by Honorable Governor of Chhattisgarh Ms. Anusuiya Uikey who congratulated the esteemed executive members of AMBI. She also congratulated Professor Nitin M Nagarkar, Director AIIMS Raipur, Prof. Eli Mohapatra, Organising Chairperson, Prof. Rachita Nanda, Organising Secretary and the entire organizing team of department of Biochemistry for organizing such a mega scientific event in the state.

More than 800 delegates from all over India and abroad attended the conference and participated at all events.The International speaker were Prof. Arlene Sharpe, Harvard Boston , Dr. Sunita D. Nasta Philadelphia . Dr. Sutirtha Chakraborthy from Norway and Dr. Sridevi Devaraj from Texas

There were renowned speakers from India and abroad to address the gathering. The main focus of the conference proceedings was on newer areas of research using the modern technologies so that early diagnosis of many non communicable diseases is possible. The younger generation of biochemists from all over the country were enriched by the discussions in the forum. The hybrid conference had parallel sessions of lectures along with paper presentations. A National Quiz was conducted was that was won by AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Awards and prizes for poster and paper presentations were also there.

The valedictory function concluded with a lot of appreciation from the members of the Executive body and delegates attending the conference in both online and offline mode.
